Mike and Michael
Sometimes friendships just happen. Oftentimes, they happen at camp. That's what happened to Michael when he met Mike five years ago.

Michael arrived at Chestnut Ridge a neophyte. As a first-time camper, he didn't know what to expect, or who he would meet. Little could he know that he would meet a counselor at the pool that would become an amazing friend.

New for Summer 2010: Themed Dinners!
Each night our residential campers will enjoy different theme dinners with music, games, costumes and more! Our themes are Beach/Hawaiian, Blast from the Past, Cowboys and Pirates. Campers are encouraged to bring clothing and costumes that will go along with each theme. Our returning summer staff came up with this idea at their pre-camp meeting and are really stoked about implementing the new summer camp dinner themes and making this the best summer yet!

Her counselor was at her bedside, making sure she was okay. She stayed with Elizabeth until sleep finally came. “It was the little things like that that made me fall in love with the people and the camp…by the end of the week, I never wanted to leave.”
