Now registering for the 2013 Confirmation Retreat!

We’re lining up a terrific set of speakers and activities for the Corridor District Confirmation Retreat at Chestnut Ridge February 22-24, 2013. Plenary and workshop topics include teaching and discussion about baptism, scripture, service, worship, Methodism, and Christian life. Activities include worship, small group break out sessions, stole making, music, and service. We’ll also have a blast with fun camp activities like gaga ball, human foosball, campfires, smores, and canoeing. Confirmation participants at any United Methodist Church are welcome to attend.

Our schedule for the weekend is:

Friday-7:30pm until…

• Group activity and reflection
• Closing Vespers

Saturday Morning/Afternoon

• 7:45 – Morning Prayer
• 8:00 – Breakfast
• 9:00 – Announcements, Worship Songs
• 9:30 – 11:45 Breakout Sessions

  • The Way of Wesley
• 12:00 Lunch/free time
• 1:30 – 3:45 Breakout Sessions
  • The Way of Scripture
  • The Way of Worship
• 3:45 – 5:45 Free Time/ Games/ Activities like canoeing, archery, basketball, bonfire/smores
• 6:00 -Dinner

Saturday Evening- 7:00pm until…

Fees for the event are $85 per participant; this covers 2 nights of lodging, 4 meals (all 3 meals Saturday and breakfast Sunday), and all program materials. Churches are asked to provide 1 adult chaperone per 6 confirmands (preferably at least 1 of each gender if both boys and girls are attending from your church).
